Getting Started
How do I sign up or sign in?
Download VoltHop from the App Store or Google Play. You can create an account using your email address, Google account, or Apple ID. If you already have an account, just tap "Sign In" and use the same method you registered with.
How do I edit my profile?
Tap the profile icon in the app to view your account details. From there you can update your name, photo, and other information.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your profile settings and look for the "Delete Account" option. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data. If you have trouble, email us at [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
Renting a Battery
How do I find a battery near me?
Open the app and browse the map view to see available batteries from local suppliers in your area. You can view details like battery type, daily price, and pickup location for each listing.
How do I request a battery rental?
Tap on a battery listing to view the details. Select the dates you need it for, then tap "Request Rental." The supplier will receive your request and can approve or decline it. You'll be notified once they respond.
How do I contact the supplier?
Once you've connected with a supplier through a rental request, you can coordinate pickup and other details through external messaging — WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, SMS, or whatever works best for both of you. VoltHop helps you find each other; communication happens directly between you.
Listing Your Battery
How do I list my battery as a supplier?
Switch to supplier mode in the app and tap "Add Battery." Upload a few photos of your e-bike battery, add a description, set your pickup location, daily price, and the dates it's available. Your listing will appear on the map for nearby renters.
How do I set my availability and pricing?
When creating or editing your listing, you can set the dates your battery is available and your daily rental price. Update these anytime from your listing page to keep things current.
How do I approve or reject a rental request?
When a renter sends a request, you'll receive a notification. Open the request to review the details — rental dates, renter profile — then tap "Approve" or "Decline." The renter will be notified of your decision.
Payments & Troubleshooting
How do payments work?
VoltHop does not process payments. All transactions happen directly between the renter and supplier — you agree on a price through the listing, then handle payment between yourselves using whatever method you prefer (cash, Venmo, bank transfer, etc.).
The app isn't working or I found a bug
Sorry about that! Try closing and reopening the app, or check that you're running the latest version. If the issue persists, email us at [email protected] with a description of what's happening and your device info. We'll look into it as soon as we can.
